Beeston Cycling Club

A Cycling Club for all

Beeston CC Introductory Rides

Tim and Judy have worked out a route for the introductory rides here

We are looking at this being a 12.5 mph, 2 and a bit hour ride.

The club needs to provide a route leader and someone riding ‘shotgun’ as we will leave no one on the road. The person at the back needs to be able to repair and carry spares. So if you are able to volunteer the rides will be on:

22nd March (Tim, Adrian)

26th April (Richard, Adam )

17th May (Adam)

28th June

19th July

16th August

20th September

(The 3rd Sunday of every month at 2pm (apart from June))

Let me know if you can help and what month ….

Please would you telephone us any time on 07967244737 our names are Steve and Bev , landlord/ lady of the hop pole.P.s could one of you contact us if you are not intrested, thank you.

  4. I had a chat with Steve – they are doing this on exercise bikes from 8am till 12 midnight. They would like us to get a decent amount in during the day so that their regulars can come in and finish it off! Sign up for it on here and we can get some details back to them.

  9. A note on the intro rides, is this for families? Can we take children, tag on’s etc?
I could do the May ride with Adam but as Nikki will be wanting to ride i was going to bring the kids along.

    Neshy.

  10. TNB Having thought about this some more i changed my mind and so an edited comment…..

The aim is to offer people who are moderately fit the chance to experience group riding so I am not sure any kids/tag alongs would be able to fit in. I had thought about taking Lewis on the tandem but having mulled it over some more do not think it is a good idea given that the pace line skills of new riders may be somewhat off the mark .
